Dionicia C. Loera, 84, of Port Isabel/Los Fresnos, Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Raul Loera Sr.; a daughter, Estella Loera; parents, Miguel S. Carlos and Rumalda G. Carlos; a sister, Casimira C. Rodriguez; one daughter-in- law, Maria Del Jesus Loera; three brothers-in-law, Jimmy Rodriguez Jr., Roberto Villarreal, and Juan Jose Martinez; three sons-in-law, David Butler, Enrique Delgado, and Richard Hill. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Blanca Butler, Maria Beatriz Delgado, Peter (Letty) H. Loera, Maria Teresa L. Hill, Esmeralda L. (Mauricio) Castillo, Frances L. (Richard) Bella, Raul (Maria Magdalena) Loera Jr., Cruz A. Loera, Gilbert Loera, and Maryana L. (David) Zurita; several grandchildren and great- grandchildren; four sisters, Concepcion C. Villarreal, Gabriella C. Martinez, Janie C. (Evan) Reyna, and Ramona C. (Ron) Jauhola; two brothers, Miguel “Mike” (Ophelia) Carlos and Cruz (Beatriz) Carlos. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 20, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 606 W. Ocean Blvd., Los Fresnos, TX with interment to follow to Las Yescas Cemetery.
