Norman Lee Barlow, of San Benito, TX passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Norman was born in Corsicana Tx and moved to the San Benito area right after WW2. Grew up on his family’s farm, graduated from San Benito High School. As an adult he farmed and worked in road construction. Raised 5 sons. He has been retired for many years. Norman is preceded in death his parents, Duble and Uzl Conley Barlow; Wife Sandra L. Barlow; Brothers, Alvin D. Barlow, William E. Barlow, Chief Warrant Officer Ross O. Barlow, Marvin C. Barlow; Sister Betty D. Barlow Milton; Son, Bill J. Barlow and Daughter in Law Pamela (Pam) Barlow. Norman is survived by Sons, David & Debbi Barlow of Natalia, Texas, Dwayne Barlow of San Benito, Texas, Norman Barlow II of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Eric & Deborah Barlow of Boerne, Texas; Grandchildren, Samantha Barlow, Kassaundra Barlow Johnston, Sharon Barlow, Robert Barlow, Ross Barlow, Paige Barlow, Spencer Barlow; Great Grandchildren, Graysen Johnston, Autumn Johnston, Alexander Guzman and Kinley Kuhn. Memorial Service will be held December 10, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. Hello everyone, I’m David one of Norman’s 4 sons. We would like to thank you all for coming to our dad’s celebration of life service. As most of you know by now dad just made his 84th birthday a couple of weeks before his passing. Our dad lived about 77 years of his 84 within about 5 miles of our family home that he and mom built over 50 years ago. He raised 5 sons, 4 of which are here with us today: Eric, Norman, Dwayne and myself. It is my belief Dad never met anyone he did not like. He and mom spent many happy decades together till mom was called home 9 years ago. For a year my brothers and I worried over dad. He was, for the most part, a shut-in after the love of his life left him. About 8 years ago dad came out of his shell and started to have the company of a caregiver and companion with Lucy. Dad is going to be missed by one and all. We love you pop. Tell mom we all say hi.
