Margarita G. Escamilla died November 23, 2022, at the age of 99. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her mother, Carmen Cortez; and her husband, Eleuterio Escamilla. She is survived by her children, Rosita E. Gutierrez, Oralia E. Fears, Rodolfo Escamilla (Altagracia), Linda Gonzales (Hector), Armando Escamilla (Diana), and Eleuterio Escamilla, Jr.; 11 grandchildren, Marivel E. Ybarra, Rodolfo Escamilla, Jr. (Claudia), Amanda Lee E. Gonzalez (Alex), Iliana Margarita F. Conine, Daniel Hawke Fears, Gabriel Gonzales (Michelle), Sergio Gonzales, Lucas Gonzales (Ileana), Armando C. Escamilla, Vilia E. Garcia (Juan F.), Rebecca E. Hernandez (Michael); 24 great-grandchildren, Cameron Jacob Sprinkle, Caden Matthew Sprinkle, Garrett Eli Holman, Tristan Escamilla, Bianca E. Hernandez (Ruben), Jocelyn Escamilla, Logan Escamilla, Joshua Ybarra, Jenna Ybarra, Dorian Gonzalez, Livia Gonzalez, Ivory Amalee Gonzalez, Rosalind Gonzalez, Mia Gonzales, Gael Gonzales, Misael Gonzales, Luka Gonzales, Aiden Escamilla, Dominic Escamilla, Maia Escamilla, Caleb Garcia, Grace Garcia, Michael James Hernandez, Jr. and Matthew Josiah Hernandez; and 1 great-great granddaughter, Camila Hernandez. Prayer service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. at Valley Christian Assembly, 32128 FM 2520 San Benito, TX 78586. A Chapel Service will be held at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
