Ida Stokes Hagg, age 71, died peacefully at home on Monday, November 7, 2022. She was born in San Benito, TX to Henry and Mary Alice (Handy) Stokes on December 10,1950 and was the eldest of 3 children. After graduating from Rio Hondo High School, she later became a teacher there. She married Michael Hagg in 1984. Ida had 2 sons Michael and Chauncey. Ida was preceded in death by her parents, husband Michael and son Chauncey. Ida is survived by her son Michael, sister, Norma, and brother Clay. She was an animal advocate and fostered and adopted many. She found her purpose by founding AdoptaPlatoon.org Soldier Support Effort and devoted her life to its cause.
