Port Isabel, Texas Mrs. Maria Dolores Martinez, 78 of Port Isabel, Texas peacefully entered the Kingdom of Heaven to be with her loved ones and her Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, November 15, 2007 at Valley Baptist Medical Center of Harlingen, Texas surrounded in the loving embrace of her family. Maria Dolores was a native and lifelong resident of Port Isabel, Texas. She was born on July 21, 1929 to her Parents; Juan & Justa Suarez Torres who have since preceded her in death along with her loving Husband; Juan J. Martinez, Brother; Jose S. Torres, Sisters; Juanita T. Mora, Ambrosia Lopez, and Josefa Garcia. She is survived by her lovely daughters: Maura (Joe) Rodriguez Houston, Texas Martha (Lupe) Villarreal Port Isabel, Texas Manuela (Jaime) Alcocer Sugarland, Texas Margarita Lopez Laguna Hts. Texas Son: Rosendo (Linda) Martinez Marrero, Louisiana 14 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Sisters: Mary Taylor Pasadena, Texas Cecilia T. Forbes Port Isabel, Texas Brother: Aniceto Torres '' '' Viewing will begin as of 9:00a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at Our Lady Star of The Sea Catholic Church with the Mass of resurrection scheduled for 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Port Isabel City Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearer will be: Justin Alcocer and serving as Pallbearers will be: Chad Evans, Jaime Alcocer, Christian Alcocer, Albert Rodriguez, Paul Martinez, Cruz Martinez, John Forse, and Jaime Reyna. A very special word of acknowledgement and gratitude is extended out to Valley Baptist Hospital, Dr. Todd Shenkenberg and his staff. Following the interment there will be a reception at the Light House Assembly of God Fellowship Hall.
