Harlingen, Texas Maria C. Aguilar, 92 years of age entered the Kingdom of Heaven early in the morning of November 13, 2007 surrounded by her family. She passed away at Sunshine Haven Assisted Living Center in Olmito, Texas. She was born on July 23, 1915 in Santa Clara, Durango Mexico. Mrs. Aguilar was a 30 year resident of Harlingen, Texas and a current member of Iglesia Alpha y Omega Christian Church of Combes, Texas her hobbies were quilting, cooking, and gardening. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Mrs. Aguilar was a faithful servant of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She leaves behind 3 daughters; Socorro Casas, Harlingen, Texas; Rita (Romeo) Leal, Brownsville, Tx; Ana Maria (Jose) Juarez, Brownsville, Texas; Son, Manuel C. (Benita) Aguilar Ft. Wayne, Ind.; 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson on the way. Serving as her pallbearers will be Ester Leal, Sylvia Lopez, Manuel Aguilar, Guillermo Aguilar, Jose Aguilar, Eliazar Casas, Jr., Eric Adrian Juarez, and Edgar Hugo Juarez. Visitiation will begin on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service and her funeral will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2007 @ 11:00 a.m. being held at Iglesia Alpha y Omega Christian Church located at 312 Dishman in Combes, Texas, interment will follow to Mont-Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
