Idalia Garza, 43, of Port Isabel, TX passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022. She is preceded in death by her father: Ramiro V. Garza Sr., maternal grandparents, Jesus Martinez, and Altagracia Garcia Martinez; paternal grandparents, Eleazar Garza Sr. and Genoveva Valdez Garza; and niece baby Angela Garza. Left to cherish her memory is her beloved son, Daniel Rinza Jr.; mother, Anita Garza; 2 brothers, Ramiro (Maria) Garza, and Oscar Garza; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces. She was a lifelong resident of Port Isabel, TX and member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. She worked at the Blue Marlin Supermarket where she welcomed everyone with a smile for many years. She was a 1997 graduate of Port Isabel High School. Her son, Daniel, was the pride and joy of her life. She was very involved in Daniel’s school and select basketball teams. Idalia also loved spending time with her mom. Wherever her mom was, Idalia was always by her side. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a celebration of her life beginning at 6:00 p.m. followed by a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Star of Sea Catholic Church, 705 S Longoria St, Port Isabel, TX with interment to follow to Port Isabel City Cemetery.
