On Sunday August 14, 2022, Ventura Sosa passed away at the age of 91. Ventura Sosa was born on July 21, 1931, in Mexico, to Delfino Sosa and Natividad Badillo. Ventura raised three children Frank, Carmen, and Adela. Ventura will best be remembered for her sassiness and her warming heart as she was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. Ventura overcame many challenges in her long life. She emigrated from Mexico, committing her life to hard work, making personal sacrifices to ensure her children had an opportunity for a better life. Ventura was preceded by her father, mother, brothers Roberto Sosa-Badillo, Eristeo Sosa-Badillo, Hermilo Sosa-Badillo, Noe Sosa-Badillo, and sister Francisca Sosa-Lozano. She is survived by her son Frank (Haydee) Del Angel, daughters Carmen (Genaro) Serna, Adela (Juan) Gonzalez, sister Melita Rodriguez, eight grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A Chapel Service will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria, Texas.
