Jose Guadalupe “Lupe” Infante 77, of Port Isabel, Texas passed away on August 5, 2022. He is preceded in death by his mother, Avelina Torres; his father, Pantaleon Infante; his step-father, Andres Camarillo; his 1st wife, Elisa Infante; 1 sister, Librada Del Rio; 1-grandson, Cesar Gutierrez and daughter-in-law Griselda Infante. Lupe was born in Port Isabel, Texas. He worked as a shrimper for 35 years. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. Lupe daily routine was breakfast at Whataburger with his friends. He attended Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Rosa Emilia Gomez; his children, Jose Luis (Maria) Infante, Miguel Angel (Margarita) Infante, Pedro Martin (Darlene) Infante, Samuel Infante (Victor Hugo Gonzalez), Freddy (Norma) Rodriguez, Yesenia Rodriguez and Claudia Gomez, 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 09, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Services at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady, Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S Longoria St, Port Isabel, TX with interment to follow to Port Isabel City Cemetery.
