Lucilla Cisneros Lopez, 73, of Port Isabel, Texas, passed away on September 16, 2012 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas. Lucilla was a lifetime resident of Port Isabel and a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. She was a faithful employee for 44 years at the City of Port Isabel before retiring. She was a member of the Quarterback Club, and her dedication was work at City Hall and Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Lucilla loved the island and going to the beach. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose R. Sr. and Manuela Cisneros Lopez; brother, Jose C. Lopez Jr.; and several aunts and uncles. She is survived by her brother, Manuel Cisneros (Maria) Lopez of Harlingen; sisters Guadalupe Lopez (Sabino) Villarreal of Laguna Vista and Eugenia "Hena"(Guillermo) Torres of Port Isabel; sister in law, Elida Z. Lopez of Laguna Vista; six nephews: Rene Villarreal Sr., Joey Lopez III Jose Manuel Lopez, Eddie Garcia, Michael Lopez, and Mark Lopez; five nieces: Norma L. Flores, Irene Torres Parra, Christina Escobar, Priscilla Gonzalez , and Crystal Lopez; as well as numerous cousins and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 from 6 pm to 9 pm, with a holy rosary at 7:00 pm, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel, Texas. Visitation will continue on Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 1:00 pm to 2pm with the Mass of Resurrection to begin at 2:00 pm at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Cremation will follow in accordance to her wishes.
