Luz Maria “Lucy” Galvan, 55, of Port Isabel, TX entered into eternal rest at home on Thursday, May 19, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Lucy was an awesome wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Her love for children lead her to N.I.N.O.S. Headstart where she dedicated 23 years of her life. Lucy enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She enjoyed crafts and playing Bingo. Lucy is loved by all who knew her because her giving heart was open to help anyone in need. She is preceded in death by her mother, Paula Garza Cruz; father, Ramiro Martinez, Sr.; sister, Norma Garza Kundtz; sister; Ida Iris Martinez; mother in law, Amelia Galvan; and father in law, Alfonso Galvan Sr. Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 39 years, Roberto Galvan Sr.; 4 sons, Sigfredo (Embherly) Galvan Sr., Roberto (Monique) Galvan, Victor (Lydia) Galvan Sr., and Sigfredo Galvan Jr.; 2 daughters, Alexia Galvan and Sadalee Galvan, 4 siblings, Otilia (Jose) Castro, Ramiro (Teresa) Martinez, Leticia Ficca, and Raymond Martinez; 8 grandchildren, Roy, Kendra, LeiAnn, Adalyn, Victor Jr., Victoria, Vinson, and Itzel Galvan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A Funeral Service will be held Monday May 23, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, 110 Port Rd, Port Isabel, TX with Pastor Steven Hyde officiating with cremation to follow in accordance to her wishes.
