San Benito, Texas- Enriqueta Maldonado Sandoval, 94, surrounded by her loving family, was called upon by our heavenly father on Sunday, September 9, 2012.
Enriqueta was born on July 15, 1918 in Las Rusias, Texas and resided in San Benito, Texas. She lived her life entirely for her loving family. She taught her children respect, love, the meaning of family, and to always have faith and trust in the Lord. Enriqueta loved to bake, dance, and care for her family. She had so much love and strength, and was truly an inspiration to her family and friends. The world has lost an inspirational wife, mother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, although the Lord has truly gained and angel. She will forever be missed and will remain in our hearts forever.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jesus Nicolas Sandoval; sons: Roberto Zuniga, Salvador (Aldemira) Maldonado, Isidro (Guadalupe) Sandoval, and Nicolas (Irene) Sandoval; and daughters: Josefina (Felipe) Hernandez, Martha Sandoval, and Manuela Sandoval; and siblings: Inez De La Cruz, Marcela Maldonado, Merced Marez, Jose Maldonado, Luis Maldonado, and Julio Maldonado.
She is survived by her loving children, Maria (Miguel) Padilla, Angelina Villafranco, Santos (Francisca) Sandoval, Isabel (Juan) Longoria, Enrique (Maria) Sandoval, Maximo (Yolanda) Sandoval, Juana Moreno, and Clara (Adolfo) Gamez. She has over 250 grandchildren, including great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters: Solia Garza, Genoveva Escobar, and Concha Ramos.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
Honored to serve as pallbearers is her grandsons: Adolfo Gamez Jr., Marcos G. Padilla, Gilbert Villafranco, Jaime Moreno, Alfredo Sandoval, Ruben Escobedo, Isidro Sandoval Jr., and Javier Salinas.
