Jesus “Tuto” Garcia, 97, of San Benito, TX passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022 in Harlingen, TX. Jesus was born to Encarnacion Garcia. He was married to his loving wife, Maria Garcia for 61 wonderful years. With God’s blessings they had four children together. Jesus will always be remembered for being a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved his family and instilled his hardworking values in his children through his examples. Nothing made him prouder than seeing his children’s accomplishments. He enjoyed gathering with his family, farming, working in construction, and attending church. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Guillermo Garcia, daughter Norma O’Brien; and sister Ofelia Fox. He is survived by his wife, Maria C. Garcia; 3 sons, Samuel (Olga) Garcia, Raul (Eddy) Garcia, Oscar (Myra) Garcia; son-in-law, Keven O’Brien; grandchildren, Kimberly Baily, Sara Bitting, Alicia O’Brien, Selina Garcia, S. Nick Garcia, Cassandra Garcia, Skyler Garcia, Shanay Flores, Miranda Ralston,Oscar J. Garcia; great grandchildren, Adam Gutierrez, Nora Bitting,Kaylee Flores, Kamren Flores, and Koda Flores. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of the Universe with interment to follow at San Benito Memorial Park. All individuals attending services are encouraged to socially distance and wear face covers or masks.
