Eleny “Leny” Alcocer, 26, of San Benito, TX entered into eternal peace on April 19, 2022. Eleny knew Jesus as her Lord and Savior. A passage of scripture that was dear to Eleny’s heart was Psalm 13:5-6 “I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me.” Anyone who knew Eleny knew of her passion for music, love of animals, and desire to care for children. She faithfully served in children’s ministry. She played the guitar and drums. Eleny composed songs and shared with family and friends. Eleny loved children, but becoming “Neni” to Kason and Nathan took this love to another level. Eleny graduated from UTRGV with a Bachelor’s of science degree in psychology, and was pursuing a Master’s Degree of Neuroscience from Parker University. Eleny is preceded in death by grandparents, Onesimo Garcia “Abuelo”, Gilberto and Felicitas Alcocer, and Marge Dahlman. Eleny is survived by father, Cuauhtemoc Alcocer, mother, Iltze Garcia Dahlman, sisters, Aziel Martinez (Samuel), Marina Dahlman, Valentina Alcocer, brother, Emiliano Alcocer, grandmother, Narcisa “Tamis” Garcia, nephews, Kason and Nathan, fur baby, Bunny, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly. A visitation will be held at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM. A chapel service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 28 also at Thomae-Garza with cremation to follow in accordance to her wishes.
