Johnny Garcia Perez, 74, of San Benito, Texas passed away at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. Johnny lived most of his life in Chular, California, where he worked at Patten’s Market as a storekeeper and truck driver. Johnny has no children. However, loved all his nieces and nephews as if they were his own children. Johnny loved to go fishing with his brother-in-law and nephews. Johnny always loved to play poker with his mother and siblings. Johnny also spent much of his time figuring out word search books. In 2017, Johnny moved to Texas where he was cared for by his sister Martha Perez-Cantu, until his final days with us on earth. In 1985, Margret Garcia-Perez, Johnny’s mother died of a cardiovascular event. In 1993, Nasario Perez Sr, Johnny’s father died of natural causes. In 1996, Alexander Sylvester Perez, Johnny’s brother died of complications related to a blood disorder. In 2008, Mary Helen Perez-Cecenas, sister of Johnny died of cancer, and also preceded in death is his eldest sister, Virginia Carmona. Johnny leaves behind his eldest brother Nasario Perez Jr.; sisters, Rosemary Perez-Casillas, Martha Perez-Cantu, Carmelita Perez-Cardanez, and several nephews and nieces. No local services are pending at this time and final disposition will be at King City Cemetery in King City, California at a later date.
