Vicente Gonzalez Betancourt “Tordo”, 67, of Port Isabel, TX, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX surrounded by his loving family. Vicente is preceded in death by his father, Inocencio Gonzalez; 2 brothers, Gaudencio Gonzalez and Miguel Gonzalez. He is survived by his wife, Ema Gonzalez; children, Sonia (Cesar) Gonzalez, Vicente (Janeth) Gonzalez Jr., Giovanni (Nayely) Gonzalez and Emma (Jose) C. Gonzalez; mother, Adolfina Mendez Betancourt; siblings, Victorina Gonzalez, Silvia Betancourt Gonzalez, Micaela Gonzalez, Juan Gonzalez, Josefina Betancourt Gonzalez, Eusebio Gonzalez and Manuel Gonzalez, grandkids, Samantha Gonzalez, Kimberly Gonzalez, Giovanni Gonzalez Jr., Kellsey Gonzalez, Vicente Gonzalez III, Ulises Alarcon, Aidan Gonzalez, Christopher Alonso, Marjorie Gonzalez and Santiago Alonso. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A Chapel Service will be held Thursday April 14, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with interment to follow to Port Isabel City Cemetery.
