Shirley Jean Ruminski, 83, of South Padre Island, Texas passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. Shirley was born on the water off Marblehead Rock, Maine; raised on an Island 20 miles off Criehaven, Maine. She had a rough up bringing on the island but she had a wonderful life with her sister and parents. As a teen she joined the Navy and became a Nurse. She married a Marine and had 5 children. She loved gardening, arts and crafts. She was a homemaker full of life. She survived 7 types of cancer. She was a trooper, a loving gamma to many, a gentle soul, was happy and lived life to its fullest. The Lord called her home peacefully; our sweet sailor Shirley Jean. She is preceded in death by her husband, John William Ruminski and daughter, Stephany Jean Ruminski. She is survived by Tom and Clemns Ruminiski, Jackie Baunker, Mandy Bralick, Frank Bralick, Suzanne and Rupert Buntin III, 70 Buntin family members, Patty and Les Smith: Elis Smith and Kathy Smith; grandchildren, Wes and Angie Miller and Stasi and Andrew Jacobs, Cassie Ruminski, Mandy Bralick, Frank Bralick, Eli Smith, Kathy Smith and many Buntin family members; great grandchildren, Charlie Ann Miller, Joey Marie Miller, Trevon, Andrew, Parker Jacobs, and many more Buntin members.
