Obituary of Dora Molve Salazar

Dora Molve Salazar, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and comadre, passed away on Tuesday February 22, 2022.
Dora was born to Eduardo and Consuelo Molve on February 13,1938 in San Benito, Texas. She attended San Benito High School and graduated in 1958. She worked as a pharmacy technician in San Benito, Harlingen, and Houston, Texas prior to her retirement over 20 years ago.
Dora married Lorenzo Salazar, Jr. in 1959 and was most proud of her four children: Graciela Salazar (Lewisville, TX), Maricela (Everett) Grimaldo (Lewisville, TX), Lorenzo (Laura) Salazar, III (North Richland Hills, TX), and Dr. René Salazar (Boston, MA). Her five grandchildren (Lou, David, Allison, Robert and Paul) were a constant source of joy in her life.
Dora was a hardworking woman who instilled the value of an education in all four of her children. Growing up with five siblings, Dora understood the importance of family and made sure that her children and grandchildren never took family for granted. Often the life of the party, Dora was not afraid to be the first one on the dance floor and was well known for her famous “gritos”.
She is preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband, brother Roberto Molve, and sister Olga Molve. She is survived by her sister Nelda (José) Garza, brothers Hernán (Crisanta) Molve and Richard (Olga) Molve, four children, five grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held from 5PM to 9PM with a 7PM Rosary at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX on Thursday, March 24, 2022.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10AM on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Our Lady Queen of the Universe, 121 Garrison Dr., San Benito, TX followed by burial at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
All individuals attending Dora’s services are encouraged to socially distance and wear face covers or masks.
