Mario Enrique Gonzales Jr. was born on August 31, 1970 to the late Mario Enrique Gonzales and Mary I. Gonzales. He peacefully entered into his eternal rest at home surrounded by his loving family. After a lengthy illness Mario ran his race till the end. Mario was greeted into heaven by his father Mario E. Gonzales maternal grandparents Felix & Maria Nunez paternal grandparents Marcos Gonzales & Enriqueta Gutierrez, aunts Hilda Gonzalez and Rosa Ruiz and uncle Harry Nunez. Mario is survived by his mother Mary I. Gonzales brothers Marcos (Yvette) and Michael Gonzales (Evette) his daughter Ashley Yvonne Gonzales and son Alejandro Rene Gonzales numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Mario was best known for his love of sports. He was a devoted fan of The San Francisco 49ers and The San Benito Greyhounds. Mario was known to be a very giving person. His pride and joy was his family and made sure to let them know how much he loved them. He will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank Hands of Angels Provider Services, Bee First Hospice and Priscilla Cantu (personal provider) for their excellent service. Mario Enrique Gonzales Jr.’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home and Crematorium in San Benito, TX when, at such time, the services will conclude. Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Orlando Cortez, Michael Gonzales Jr., Lino Enrique Gonzales, Jose Jesus Gonzales, Alejandro Rene Gonzales. Marcos Jacob Gonzales, Mathew Josaiah Gonzales; honorary pallbearers, Marcos Gonzales and Michael Gonzales.
