Berta Cancino, 71, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022, at her residence surrounded by loving family. Berta was born and raised in Bayview, TX. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Francisco Cancino and Herminia Ulluela and siblings. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Juan Montes, Freddy Montes, Baldo Montes, and daughter, Caridad Montes Alfaro, 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022, from 5 pm to 9 pm, at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito,, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary to be held at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at 10 am at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, in Los Fresnos, with burial to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Gardens in San Benito. All individuals are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines by socially distancing a minimum space of 6 feet apart and face covers or masks are recommended.
