Linda J. Lopez, 66, of Harlingen, TX passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Treasure Hills Nursing Home. She is preceded in death by her mom, Paula Lopez; several aunts, uncles, and 2 cousins. Left to cherish her memories are cousins and friends. She loved all her relatives. She was active in everything and was president of the resident activity center. “I would like to thank everyone for the care they gave me. I like to thank all the roommates I had throughout the years. I also like to thank Mabel Bunch for being my roommate; we both like listening to Johnny Cash music, Diet Coke, and Church’s Chicken. I love everyone at St. Paul Lutheran Church.” Linda shared of the time she performed at the school talent show. She sang, “My Eyes Adore You,” by Franki Valle. “ I thank Roy Maggard by childhood friend, Roy, and brothers for being my friend.” “Special thanks to everyone at Treasure Hills Nursing Home; Mable Bunch, all my friends, CNA Nurses, Physical Therapy. To Ricardo and Family, Doctors and Nurses, Maggie Lopez, Yami DeLeon, and to all housekeeping; thanks again. God Bless, Linda Lopez.” She will be missed. Visitation will be held Monday, January 14, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. Visitation will continue at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 15, 2022 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. with the Chapel Service beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Robert Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at Ashland Memorial Park Cemetery at 21037 Godwin Rd, Harlingen, TX.
