Ruben Montelongo, 51, of San Benito, went to be with our Lord, on February 2, 2022, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Dario S. Montelongo, Paulita Conde Montelongo, and a sister. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Maria M. Montelongo, son, Ruben (Valerie), a daughter, Victoria Montelongo, along with his grandchildren, Sophia and Aaron (Rambo) Montelongo, and numerous nieces and nephews, and his siblings; Dario (Mary)Montelongo, and David (Arminda) Montelongo, and Belia M. Perez. Ruben was born on September 14, 1970, in San Benito, TX. Ruben was a trucker for 27 years. He always loved making jokes, and making people laugh. Ruben was a loving father, husband, brother, and friend to all, always calling on every occasion. He will be truly missed. Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 9, 2022, from 5 pm to 9 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, with a Prayer Service to be held to be held at 7 pm. A Funeral service will be held on Thursday February 10, 2022 at 2pm at Thomae-Garza funeral home in San Benito, with burial to follow to San Benito Memorial Park. All individuals are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines by socially distancing a minimum space of 6 feet apart and must wear face covers or masks.
