Ruben G. Garcia, 78, of San Benito, went to be with our Lord, on January 30, 2022, at Harlingen Medical center. He is preceded in death by his parents; Antonio Garcia, and Margarita Garcia. Ruben was born in Matamoros and raised in Valle Hermoso. He was an academy professor in Mexico, was a loving son, husband and father, who was devoted to God. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Francisca Espitia, sons; Rene Garcia and Cesar Garcia, and a daughter, Aracely Garcia. Also surviving is his grand-daughter, Selena Maldonad, along with great grand-daughter, Addelyn G. Maldonado, and great grand-son, Braulio N. and Elias A. Maldonado. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, from 5 pm- 9 pm, at Thomae-Garza funeral home in San Benito, with a Prayer Service to be held at 7 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday February 3, 2022, at 2 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with, burial to follow to San Benito City Cemetery.
