Doel M. Silva, 54, Of San Benito, TX, went to be with our Lord and savior on Friday, January 28, 2022. He was born on July 28, 1967, to his parents, David, and the late Betty Jean Silva. He is preceded in death also by his sister Debbie Jo Gonzales.
He is survived by his loving wife Ermelinda Silva and their pride and joy Doel S. Silva Jr. His siblings are Dalia Silva Valencia, Dionicio (Otila) Silva, Delma (Joe) Garcia, Drinda (Joe) Villafranca, David (Melissa) Silva, mother in law; Yolanda G. Saenz: 2 Sister's-in-law Linda Saenz and Melinda Galvan. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Drewsilla, Dillon, Delila, Daisy, Joey, Jacinda, Josefina, Amanda, Jose Luis, Betty Jean Silva, Miranda, Betty Jean Lopez, Alexandria, Kaitlyn, and Ashlyn, along with great-nieces and nephews Adalyn, Jude and Adam IV.
Doel was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. When he graduated from school he served his community as a volunteer firefighter, for the City of San Benito. In his younger years as a teenager, he used to mud race, and then he started a new adventure as a stock car racer. He loved to hunt with his dad and friends. His favorite spot to hunt was La Barreta. He then was introduced to deep sea fishing by his friend Thomas, and he loved it as well. . When he became a father in 2003, his son DJ was his pride and joy. He taught his son many skills to which he will always treasure. When Doel opened his business in 2005, he was always there to help his customers, whether it be family, friends, or someone new. You will be dearly missed by all who knew you my love; until we meet again.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, from 5 pm to 9 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, with a recitation of the holy rosary to be held at 7 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at 2 pm at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, in San Benito, with burial to follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dionicio M. Silva, Alex De Leon, Gilbert Galvan, Andrew Munoz, Nathanael Flores, and Albert Mosqueda.
All individuals are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines by socially distancing a minimum space of 6 feet apart and must wear face covers or masks. (May include bandanas or sewn or cloth face coverings).
