Jose Uvalle De La Portilla, 77, of San Benito, Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. He was a person who was a hard labor working man, he worked as a trucker in the fields to plant seeds. He would get home and was a great father and husband. He was a Man of God and persisted in the church. He loved to read the bible, pray and listen to worship songs. He was a very loving, and kind grandfather to his grandchildren. He is a man who will be missed dearly. Jose is preceded in death by his loving wife; Juana Uvalle Escobedo: parents; Zenon Uvalle and Raquel De La Portilla as well as his brothers; Rolando Uvalle De la portilla, Ricardo Uvalle De la portilla, Gillermo Uvalle De La Portilla, Ernesto Uvalle De la portilla and Chino Uvalle De La Portilla. Left to cherish his memories are his daughters: Laura Uvalle Escobedo, Maria Luisa Uvalle Escobedo, Son: José Luis Uvalle Escobedo and Juan Jesus Uvalle Escobedo as well as his grandrchildren; Juana Padilla, Jesus Efrain Padilla, Nyssa Martinez, Hector manuel Uvalle, Beatriz Uvalle, Luis alberto Uvalle, Johnny Junior Uvalle, Johnathan Uvalle, Bianca Jazmely Uvalle, Adriana Padilla, Raquel Isabella Uvalle, Crystal Jamilet Uvalle, Aly Aleida Uvalle. Maite Uvalle, Jose luis uvalle Jr. and Jose Daniel Uvalle. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 5:00 p.m.-9 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A chapel service will be held on Friday January 21, 2022 to begin at 2:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with burial to Follow at San Benito Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
