Obituary of Eva Medrano Torres

Please share a memory of Eva to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Eva Medrano Torres was the age of 74 of Port Isabel, before she entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Friday, January 7, 2022. She was born on January 26, 1947 to Josefina Camacho and Francisco Medrano. She attended school in Point Isabel Independent School District. In her retirement years spent time with everyone and the Golden Girls. Eva was also a very loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend who will be dearly missed and remembered by all who knew her. Those that knew Eva well will know that she thoroughly enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She loved lady bugs, Whataburger, bargain shopping at Flea Markets and spoiling her loved ones with gifts, especially for special occasions such as birthdays, Easter, and get togethers. She was always there for her family and friends and always willing to help no matter who asked her; it was very hard for her to say no to anybody. Mother was funny in her own way. She was a tough and abrasive woman to her family and friends. But yet, her kindness, generosity, and strength continue to live on in many forms. Eva was a very independent, strong, and resilient person. She was a woman of great integrity who always showed her unconditional love and respect for her family and friends. She positively impacted those around her due to her prayers, actions, and words of advice. Eva M. Torres was preceded in death by her late husband Oscar Carlos Villarreal Sr..; her parents, Josefina Camacho and Francisco Medrano; 5 brothers, and 4 sisters. Eva is survived by her 5 (five) children; Cynthia Marie Vela (Alfredo) of Brownsville, Texas; Oscar Carlos Villarreal Jr. (Mananid) of Brownsville, TX; Howard Joseph Villarreal (Sonya) of San Antonio, TX; Mary Alice Perez of Los Fresnos, TX; and Cornelio Torres of Houston, TX: Sister; Ester Rassmusen Alaniz of Port Isabel, TX, grandchildren; Amberly Calvillo, Ramiro Venustiano Martinez, Roxanne Mills, Andres Hernandez III, Oscar Carlos Villarreal III, Kassandra Marie Villarreal, Eric Antonio Villarreal, Nathaniel Joseph Villarreal, David Josiah Villarreal, Sophia Rose Villarreal, Alyson Rae Rojas, Alexandria R.
