Please share a memory of Corina to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Corina Cantu Castillo, 55, of San Benito, Texas passed away Friday, December 3, 2021.
Corina, also known as “Nana” by her grandchildren, was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. Anyone who knew her would describe her as a caring, beautiful soul with a heart of gold. Her smile lit up an entire room and her generosity towards others never went unnoticed. Corina’s pride was in her family. She never missed an opportunity to brag about her kids and loved sharing pictures of them. To say she was the proudest mom isn’t enough. Corina’s love for her children and grandchildren carried over into her professional life, impacting many hearts. She worked with children for many years, from volunteering at her children’s schools, to owning a daycare, and recently as a travel youth care worker. The simplest pleasures in her life brought great joy, including dancing, playing pool, collecting coffee mugs from her various travel destinations, and spending time with her mom and siblings. Her children and grandchildren will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest and continuing to make her proud.
She is preceded in death by her father, Remigio D. Cantu and brother, Oscar Cantu.
