Our condolences to Holland family during this time. Robert Holland "Coach Robe" was one of my first coaches who taught the game of baseball to me and many other young boys. I have fond memories of jumping into the Holland family vehicle and driving to San Benito to play Pony League Baseball. In reflection it took a man like Robert Holland to see the value of giving back to his community and what better way than to keep youngsters involved in sports. Over the years I would occasionally run in into Coach Robe at high school football games thru out the RGV where he would always take time to catch and visit with me for a few moments. He will be missed by many.
