I just learned of the passing of my classmate Casimiro Barrera. I am heartbroken that Casi has left us. We are all blessed to have known Casi. Casi made Port Isabel so proud. Must share this with his family,- About a month ago I visited a Plant Nursery in McAllen, Texas. The salesman helping me out learned that I was from Port Isabel. He immediately says to me, "Oh yea, back in the day you had a great football player named Casi!" His name has not been forgotten even outside of Port Isabel. Casi definitely made us shine both as a football player and a person. I thank him for serving our country. My sincere condolences to his wife and family. Sincerely, Lucy Delgado Foster, P.I.
