Janie Vasquez, 30, of Laguna Heights passed away Monday, October 4, 2021. She is preceded in death by her father: Rafael Vasquez, Sr. Left to cherish her memories are her mother: Rosaura Cepeda Vasquez, Companion: Heriberto Nieto, 2 sons: Candido Alberto Quiroz, Austin Quiroz, 3 daughters: Valerie Isabel Quiroz, Daniella Rubi Quiroz, Rosalia Nohemi Nieto, 2 brothers: Rafael (Heather) Vasquez, Jr., Mark Anthony Vasquez, sister: Stephine (Robert) Sanchez, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a Rosary at 7 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church 705 S. Longoria St, Port Isabel, TX. and in accordance to her wishes, cremation will follow. All individuals are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines by socially distancing a minimum space of 6 feet apart and must wear face covers or masks.
