Obituary of Lorenzo Salazar Jr

Lorenzo Mendoza Salazar, Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by family, in Watauga, Texas on July 19, 2012.
Lorenzo was born in San Benito, Texas on April 21, 1936. A graduate of San Benito High School, Lorenzo served in the Texas National Guard for sixteen years. He worked as a meat cutter for the Kroger Company for twenty-six years and was an active member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 408.
Lorenzo was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Mendoza and father, Lorenzo Salazar, Sr.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Dora Molve Salazar; daughters: Graciela Salazar-Hardin and Maricela Grimaldo; sons: Lorenzo Salazar, III and Dr. René Salazar; daughter-in-law Laura Salazar; son-in-laws: Stanley (Rock) Hardin and Everett Grimaldo; and his five grandchildren, Lou, David and Robert Salazar and Allison and Paul Grimaldo. He is also survived by his brothers Jaime Salazar, Jesus Salazar, Pedro Salazar, sister-in-laws Rosalinda Salazar, Rebecca Salazar, Alicia Salazar and several nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held at 10 A.M at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home on Thursday August 2, 2012 followed by a mass at 1 P.M. at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in San Benito, Texas. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
