Gregorio M. Barrientos Sr., 88, of San Benito, Texas, entered into eternal rest on July 24, 2012. "Grandpa" loved spending time with his family and was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan. He was a devoted and loving husband to his dear wife and an affectionate father to his children. He enjoyed a long full and happy life. He will long be remembered and deeply missed by all. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Maria Luisa Barrientos. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Rebecca G. Barrientos; and his 12 children; Gregorio Jr. (Lucy), Esperanza (Rene) Garcia, Juan Sr. (Gloria), Alberto Sr. (Julie), Sylvia (Amador) Hinojosa, Mary (Joe), Irma Barrientos, Linda (Delfino) Gamez, Ricardo Sr. (Victoria), Lucy Barrientos, Benny, and Noe(Cindy). He is also survived by 33 grandchildren; 97 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, and will continue on Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, with a holy rosary at 7:00 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, July 27, 2012 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
