Obituary of Jose Flores

Jose Angel "La Mamita" Flores, 83, of San Benito, Texas, entered into rest on July 17, 2012 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas.
Jose was a retired employee of the City of San Benito.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Ignacia Zuniga Flores; two brothers, Alberto Flores and Masedonio Flores; and one sister, Eloisa Trevino.
He is survived by his children: Lucy Flores, Gloria Barrientos, Josie (Roberto Gaytan) Flores, and Jose Angel Flores Jr.; 16 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by numerous other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a holy rosary at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
A chapel service will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 10:00 am at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Interment will follow at San Benito City Cemetery.
