Jose Manuel Lopez, 75, of San Benito, went to be with our Lord on August 18, 2021, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Manuel and Ofelia Lopez, his sibling, Marta Saldana, Ester Bucher, Margarita Garcia, Ludivina Cantu, Guadalupe Martinez, Marcelino Lopez, and Manuel Lopez. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Patricia, David Jose Manuel Jr. Rebecca (Canuto), Ezequiel, and Joel Armando. Also surviving are his siblings Abel Lopez, Elias Lopez, Felipe Lopez, Amamlia Quiroz, and Delia Perez, along with grandchildren Enrique and Joey Lopez. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, August 23, 2021, from 5 pm to 9 pm at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, with a prayer service to be held at 7 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at at 2pm Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, with burial, to follow to Las Rusias Cemetery at 3 pm. All individuals are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines by socially distancing a minimum space of 6 feet apart and must wear face covers or masks.
