Telisa Viola Pratt-Cruz of Brownsville. Texas passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021. She was born and raised in Port Isabel where she attended Garriga/Derry Elementary, Port Isabel Jr. High and Port Isabel High School. She was a member of the Cross Country/Track Team (she loved to run). Also, she love to cheer for her home town football team "The Mighty Tarpons." She always said "Once a Tarpon Always a Tarpon." She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, cousin, and wife. She had a big heart ready to help out wherever she saw there was a need. She had a deep love for her family and for others, putting their needs before no matter the risk. During her last hospital stay, she wrote in her journal that she wanted everyone to know that she loved everyone and wished the best for everyone. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Jose Luis Cruz; Father, Frank P. Pratt; Maternal Grandparents, Severo and Josefa Montalvo; Paternal Grandparents, Ashly Beach Pratt and Vernice M. Yates Pratt; and an Uncle, Edward Morrison Pratt. She is survived by her Son, Jose Luis Cruz Jr. (Jennifer Garcia); Three Grandchildren, Alizée, Trinity and Elijah; Daughter, Kristina Cruz; Mother, Maria G. Medina; Stepfather, Juan Medina; Siblings, Maria (Cathy) Colunga, Moises D. Pratt (Ella), John F. Pratt and William A. Pratt (Joan) and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held Monday, July 26, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Steven Hyde at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home, San Benito, TX. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, 110 Port Rd., Port Isabel, TX. Cremation to follow according to her wishes.
