Andres(Yune) Cruz Jr., 69, of Rio Hondo, went to be with our Lord on July 3, 2021 at his home. He is preceded in death by his parents Andres Cruz and his mother Santos Morales, along with his sister, Maria Luisa Enriquez. Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Juanita Benitez, Maria Luisa Enriquez, Antonio Cruz, Elida Cruz Hernandez, Jose Manuel Cruz, Reymundo Cruz, and Mauricio Cruz. His passion was to play drums. He was a lifetime musician, making it his career, playing his drums alongside his father in a musical group, “El Conjunto de Chito Cruz”. He also loved his siblings nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 5pm to 9pm at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, with a rosary to be held at 7pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021, at 10 am at Saint Vincent de Paul Mission in Lozano, TX. Burial will follow to Las Yescas Cemetery in Las Yescas. Individuals are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines by socially distancing a minimum space of 6 feet apart and must wear face covers or masks.
