Reynaldo Martinez, 87, of San Benito entered into eternal rest at his home surrounded by his loving family on June 18, 2021. Reynaldo was born on June 29, 1933 in San Benito, Texas. He was a dedicated father, grandfather, an amazing great-grandfather, and a loyal friend to many. Before falling ill, Reynaldo enjoyed playing golf, serving as a Eucharist Minister and being a loyal member of the Knights of Columbus. He is preceded in death by his parents: Roberto and Olivia Martinez, his brothers: Roberto and Rodolfo Martinez. Left to cherish is memory are his wife: Maria G. Martinez, 10 children: Noe Mata (Rose), Blanca Cochrum (John), Maria Garcia, Reynaldo Martinez, Jr. (Hilda), Olivia Martinez, Emilio Martinez (Mary), Maricela Martinez, Sara Vasquez (Sergio), Graciela Martinez, Michelle Flores (Tim), 26 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 24, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Chapel service will be held on Friday June 25, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with interment to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
