San Benito, TX- Onesimo Lopez Sr., 86, of San Benito, TX passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Atrium Place in Harlingen, TX. He is preceded in death by his previous wife, Maria S. Lopez; a son, Octavio Lopez; and a grandson, Michael Lopez. He is survived by his children, Onesimo (Minerva) Lopez Jr. and Hortencia (Richard) Zablocki; grandchildren, Orlando (Claudia) Lopez, Monique (Daniel) Gomez, Mark A. (Edith) Lopez, and Joyce (Edward) Sosa; great grandchildren, Megan D. Gomez, Daniel M. Gomez, Mardith Lopez, Diego O. Lopez, Kaith Lopez, Gabriela Sosa, and Luis Sosa. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a holy rosary at 7:00 PM at Thomae Garza Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 12:00 pm at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church in San Benito, TX. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers are Orlando Lopez, Mark Lopez, Daniel Gomez, Troy Villarreal, David Hinojosa, and Graig Hinojosa.
