Martin Ybarra (November 12, 1929 - July 8, 2012) Martin Ybarra passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 82 on July 8, 2012. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 65 years and his children when he went to meet his heavenly Father. Martin was a wonderful husband and dedicated father. He was generous, loving, friendly and beloved by those whose lives he touched. He instilled in his children a love for God and family. Martin and his bride Delia had seven children. He is preceded in death by his two sons, Martin, Jr (Fina) and Miguel (Leonor). Their five remaining children are Polly (Hector Cortez), Margarita (Ruben Reyes), Noemi Torres, Maria (Joe Salazar), and Manuel (Jennifer). In addition, he had 15 grandchildren: Martin (Third), Diana, Dahlia, Michael, Sandra, Gabriel, Hector (Beco), Veronica, Patty, Amanda, Christopher, Monica, Melissa, Jennifer, Christina and 9 great grandchildren: Bruce, Jr., Esteban, Jonathan, Meagan, Cristal, Michael, Mikey, Caris, Jonathan Christopher. He is also preceded in death by his father, Fortino Huerta Ybarra, his grandson Hector Cortez (Beco), his brothers Victor, Juan and Jose Ybarra. Martin was born in Robstown, Texas, the firstborn son of Fortino and Maria Ybarra. His remaining siblings are Margarita Evans, Concepcion (Chon) and Felix Ybarra. Pallbearers are Concepcion (Chon)Ybarra, Ruben Reyes, Joe Salazar, Jr., Juan Manuel Ybarra, Martin Ybarra, III (Third), Monica Rae Ybarra-Torres, Christopher Ruben Reyes, Gabriel Ybarra, Guillermo Rodriguez (alternate), and honorary pallbearer Hector Cortez. Visitation will be on Friday, July 13th, 2012 from 12 pm to 9 pm with a rosary at 7 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. Celebration Mass will be at 10 am on Saturday, July 14th, 2012 at St Benedict's Catholic Church followed by committal service at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, TX.
