Amelia Camacho Ochoa, 72 of Laguna Heights, Texas passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was a life-long resident of Port Isabel and a member of Our Lady Star of The Sea Catholic Church. She was an employee of Port Isabel School District as a Custodian and Bus Driver for over 25 years, worked with Child Protective Services, Waitress and Small Business Owner, loved to go shrimping with her husband. She enjoyed cooking and shopping for everyone. She loved dancing and spending time with family, friends and enjoyed her a nice cold Miller Lite with a cigarette. She is survived by her loving children: Bertha Ann Ochoa, Jim Leo Ochoa (wife-Isabel Ochoa) and Roxanne Ochoa Garza (Husband-Eduardo Garza), grandchildren; Crystal Garcia, Natashua Garcia, George Cameron Garcia, Shevawn Cepeda, Brenda Ann Cepeda, Fabian Deleon Jr., Celissa Ann Deleon, Jerome Lee Ochoa, Jarred Dylan Leo Ochoa, Caitlynn Cole Ochoa ,Jim Leo Ochoa Jr., Jose Lee Fronoy Ochoa, Isabel Anamaria Ochoa, Eduardo Francisco Garza Jr. and Angel Garza as well as her 10 great-grandchildren, 8 siblings: Pauline Barrientes, Robert Camacho, Sr., Palmira Sanchez, Leonso Camacho, Reynaldo Camacho, Rolando Camacho, Juan Manuel Camacho and Sammy Lee Camacho, Sr. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Jose Fronoy Ochoa, Sr., Son: Jose Fronoy, Jr., Daughter; Liza Ann Ochoa-Garcia, Granddaughter; Rosemary Jane Garza, Parents: Leonso and Lucia Garza Camacho, 2 Brothers: Reynaldo Camacho and Ramon Camacho, 1 Sister; Hilda Camacho Elizondo, Father and Mother-in-Law: Santiago, Jr. and Berta Camacho Ochoa. Visitation will be held on Thursday April 15, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home, 395 S. Sam Houston, in San Benito, Texas. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday April 16, 2021 at Our Lady of the Star of The Sea Catholic Church, 705 S Longoria St, in Port Isabel, TX with interment to follow to Port Isabel City Cemetery.
