Jose “Big Joe” Camargo Sr., 59, of Harlingen, TX, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021 in Harlingen, Texas. Jose Camargo resided in Harlingen most of his life where he graduated from Harlingen High School and went on to attend college. Jose had a business (Camargos Fix it Shop) that he years later had retired from. He was born in Harlingen on September 27, 1961 to Cecilio Camargo and Aurora Camargo. Jose was an excellent loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is preceded in death by his father, Cecilio Camargo Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years of marriage, Rosalinda Maldonado Camargo: daughter; Josie Camargo; two sons: Joe (Mariah) Camargo and Pete (Shilo) Camargo. 7 grandchildren, Khloe, Raegan, Jaylin, Calliope, Emma, Jose Pedro and Baby Sofia Camargo; Mom Aurora Camargo, sister Rosa Briones as well as 3 brothers: Robert Camargo, Cecilio Camargo, Jr., Jesus Camargo. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021, from 5pm to 9 pm, at Thomae Garza Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7pm. A Chapel Service will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 2 pm. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home with burial to follow at Las Yescas Cemetery.
