Guadalupe B Garcia, 78, of Laureles, TX, passed away on January 21, 2021, at Valley Baptist Medical Center. Lupe, as he was known was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas to Florentino Garcia & Cosme Bazan on January 12, 1943. He worked for Secretaria de Recursos Hidraulicos for many years. He enjoyed working the fields and doing mechanic work. Lupe is survived by his wife of 56 years, Maria Del Rosario Galvan Garcia. Children: Juan Jaime(+) (Ana) Garcia, Martin (Patricia) Garcia, Fernando Garcia, Mary (Enrique) Castillo. Grandchildren: Judy (Paul) Hernandez, Naomi (Alfredo) David, Amanda Garcia, Martin Garcia Jr, Alexandra Garcia, Robert Garcia, Naylea Garcia, Juan Jaime “TJ” Garcia Jr, and Breanna Castillo. Great-grandchildren: Julian Luna-Garcia, Roman Luna-Garcia, Elissa Martinez, Joseph Olivares Jr, Alijah Garcia, Fabian David-Garcia, and Mathew Hernandez. He is preceded in death by his parents Florentino Garcia & Cosme Bazan, his son Juan Jaime “JJ” Garcia, and daughter Mercedes Garcia.
