Maria Elena “Nena” Guerra, 77, of La Paloma, TX, went to be with our Lord, on January 27, 2021, at her residence surrounded by loving family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ambrosio and Manuela Martinez, her son, Michael Joseph Guerra, and sisters, Maria Galvan, and Dominga Robles, Eluterio Martinez and Jacinto Martinez She is survived by her loving daughter, Sami Marie Morales. Also left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Raul and Israel Martinez, along with her grandchildren, Elizabeth Martinez, Cristine Nicole Nueremberg, Lila Netanya, Guerra, and Mikey Guerra. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren. Gabriel Carreno, Inaydeliz Martinez, Rylie Addison Skipwith, Jody Ryan Skipwith, and Leon Efrain Escobar. Visitation will be held Monday, February 1, 2021, at Thomae- Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, from 5pm to 9pm , with a recitation of the Holy Rosary to be held at 7pm. AFuneral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at 2pm at Nuestra Senora De Lourdes Catholic Church in La Paloma. Burial will follow to La Paloma Cemetery. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart. All individuals must wear face coverings or masks.
