San Benito - Eligio Castillo Vasquez passed away on January 24, 2021 at the age of 62. He battled all life's challenges with a smile. He was a beloved; brother, father, grandfather, uncle and husband. He always told you the truth, even if you didn't want to hear it. He wrote his own rules, argued with authority and if you said it can't be done, he would prove you wrong. He loved, he lived, faced it all and stood tall on his final day. He did it all his way. His is preceded in death by his Father; Esteban Vasquez Sr., Mother; Maria De Jesus Castillo Vasquez, sister; Paula Vasquez and brother; Esteban Vasquez Jr. He is survived by his Wife; Loida Eunice Vasquez, Daughter; Jessica Vasquez, Sons; Eliseo Vasquez, Ruben Vasquez and Eligio Vasquez Jr. Brothers and Sisters: Sister; Antonia Garza, Brothers; Jesus Vasquez and San Leodegario Vasquez Grandchildren: Zoe Sariah Martinez, Kiersten Paige Martinez, Dante Isabella Vasquez, Aniyah Joann Vasquez, Sebastian Atreyu Vasquez and Scarlett Jase Vasquez Great Grandchildren: Shiloh Salser and Ty'Ree Giovann Jojo Carrier Martinez. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 1, 2021 from 5 to 9 PM, with a prayer service beginning at 7PM at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home 395 S Sam Houston Blvd, San Benito, TX 78586. A chapel service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. on February 2, 2021 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.
