Port Isabel, TX - Elma Lopez Silva, age 78 passed away peacefully on Monday, January 25th, 2021 at Valley Baptist Hospital in Harlingen, Texas. She was born May 14th, 1942 in Alice, Texas to Adan Lopez and Lina (Trevino) Lopez. She was a 1960 graduate of William Adams High School. She married Ramon D. Silva on December 9th, 1962 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alice, Texas. She graduated with a nursing degree from Bee County College on August 21st, 1981. Elma worked for many years at various nursing homes in the Alice area and eventually retired from nursing. She was very proud of her children and Grandchildren and attended many pageants, recitals, sporting events, graduations and birthday parties. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, Branson and lived in the Middle East for Five years. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen for taking good care of her. She is preceded in death by Rodolfo Lopez, Adan Lopez, and Beto Lopez Elma is survived by: Ramon Silva (husband), Reynaldo Silva (Son) Duby Infante (Daughter) Danny Flores (Nephew) Melissa Salinas (Niece), Maria Elena Ochoa (Sister), Grandchildren: Selina Medina, Aaron Infante, Alexia Infante, Andres Infante, Jaime Infante, Maryssa Silva, Cordero Silva, Caleb Silva, Danielle Flores, Toni Zarate, Julian Flores, Lorenzo Saenz IV, Nicholas Salinas, Great Grandchildren: Devon Ramirez, Zeth Ramirez, Noah Rodriguez, Gage Medina, Sophia Medina, Joseph Medina, Sienna Medina, Zaylee Infante, Zage Infante, Isaiah Garza, James Garza, Nicole Guzman, and Angus Infante. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart. All individuals must wear face coverings or masks. Service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. on January 30, 2021 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church 705 S Longoria St, Port Isabel, TX 78578.
