Viola G. Gonzalez 73, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday January 12, 2021. She was a 1966 graduate of San Benito High School and a 1968 graduate of the Valley Baptist School of Vocational Nursing. Most of her 40 year nursing career took place at Dolly Vinsant Memorial Hospital. One of her favorite hobbies was baking for her family. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Francisco Gonzalez Sr., her parents Luciano and Maria Gomez, and sister Berta G. Jalomo. She is survived by her children Jeanie G. (Joe) Avila, Frank (Lupita) Gonzales, Rita Gonzales, Ana (Bob) Vento, and her beloved grand children Julianna Leal, Joe Frank Avila, Rene Avila, Yuliza Avila, Ydalia M. Gonzales, Angelina Carrizales, Gabriella Carrizales, Daniella Carrizales, Javier Vento. She is survived by her siblings: Francisco (Elvia) Gomez, Bernabe Gomez, Beatriz (Cristobal) Gonzalez, Teodoro (Juanita +), Luciano Gomez, Graciela (Frank) Castaneda, and numerous nieces and nephews. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart.
