Orfelinda Galvan Alvarez was born August 8, 1964, in Slayton, Texas. She resided in San Benito, Texas, and passed on to walk the streets paved in gold on December 19, 2020. Linda was 56 years old. Linda was a devoted mother to her two daughters and cared for many nieces and nephews as her own. Linda spent some time working as a CNA and aspired to be a cosmetologist. She met her husband Gustavo Alvarez about 22 years ago and found her companion for life. They spent much time listening to oldies, taking care of their numerous pets from dogs, cats, birds, turtles, iguana, and one seagull. Together they built one of a kind aviaries and dog houses. Linda also enjoyed watching her plants bloom, naming them after her family, singing to Rock n"Roll, dancing to disco, and always shared love and encouragement with those around her. Orfelinda was loved and treasured for her faith and kind heart. Her spirit will carry on with her daughters, family, and friends until they reunite once again. She is survived by her husband, Gus and two daughters; Lisa Alvarado LeBlanc and Linda Alvarado Jackson, Mother, Anastacia Perez and Father, Ismael Galvan. Also surviving are her siblings Mary Mendez, Diana Galvan and brother, Artemio Galvan, along with granddaughter, Mea Skye Danache. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart. All individuals must wear face coverings or masks. (May include bandanas or sewn or cloth face coverings). A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 5pm-9pm with a prayer service at 7pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX.
