Josefa Lucio Galvan, 96 years old, of Rio Hondo passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 in Harlingen, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Dolores Galvan, daughter, Esther Galvan Elijio as well as two sons Eleno Galvan and Edgar Galvan. Josefa is survived by her seven children; Elida Atkinson, Piokuenpo Galvan, Yuren Galvan, Agripna Alfaro, Ovidio Galvan, Ulises Galvan and Maricela Galvan Escobedo as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas with international arrangements for burial to Tamps. Mexico under the direction of Thomae Garza Funeral Home. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart. All individuals must wear face coverings or masks. (May include bandanas or sewn or cloth face coverings).
