Miguel Maldonado Vasquez 92, years old born on September 29, 1928, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020 in Los Fresnos, Texas. Parents: Victor and Felicitas Maldonado. Sililing: one sister, Uribina Vasquez. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Librada Maldonado, His sister, Urbina Vasquez, his mother, Felicitas Maldonado, and his father Victor Maldonado. He was born in Xicotencatlhe, Tamalupas, and at a very young age worked as a cook. He also worked with the crop dusters as a flag man and with pesticide. Sam Houston Provided him with a place to live, a job, and helped with getting him a permanent residency. After that he was working with Guadalupe Gomez doing the same type of work.. After Sam Houston and Guadalupe Gomez he worked as a construction worker. He met his wife, Librada Maldonado in Harlingen, Texas. They married on February 9, 1952. Their marriage lasted 66 years until she passed away on May 19,2018. They were a very loving couple willing to help any family in need. Their marriage lasted till death did them part where now they are joined in heaven. They had five daughters and one son: Elva, Felicitas, Miguel Jr., Juanita, Delia and Rosalava and two step children that he treated like his own: Ramon and Leonor. He had numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and making everyone laugh. He was very loved and will be missed dearly. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 12, 2020 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Los Fresnos, Texas, a burial will follow to Los Cuates Cemetery in Los Fresnos, Texas.
