Charles Burton Wilt Jr., 96 years old, born April 22, 1924, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 in Harlingen, TX. He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Wilt, brothers, Forest Wilt and Royce Wilt. Also his parents Charles Wilt Sr. and Charlotte Wilt. He is survived by his daughter Linda and son, Kenny. Also surviving are his siblings Opal Wilt, 100 years old, and brother Gerald Wilt, along with his grandchildren Amy Shandick, Brandon Wilt, and Beau Wilt, with two great-grandchildren, Darby Shandick, Treyson Wilt, Tessa Wilt and Dezi Wilt. Known mostly as Butch and Junior, he worked many years on the Family Farm in Dennison, Illinois, until he retired. He lived in the rural area of Dennison and in Marshall, Illinois, until moving in November 2019 to live with Linda & Joe Zuniga in Texas. In those months we’ve learned of things that he enjoyed… a good crop of corn, grain, or soy beans… a healthy group of farm animals to feed the family. He also enjoyed yard sales and farm auctions, and tractor pulls at the Fair. Years earlier his pride &joy was an Indian Motorcycle. He also enjoyed his friends and family and hearing from and seeing his grandchildren and attending family reunions and gatherings. No local services will be held. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart.
